Bookkeeping for US businesses, closed every month.

Our clients today are US companies: startups, Shopify sellers and food and nutrition brands. We keep their books in QuickBooks Online and Xero, close every month, and hand their CPA a clean file at tax time.

Our team works from the Philippines, 12 to 16 hours ahead of US time zones, so much of your month-end work gets done while you sleep.

What US owners deal with, and what we do about it

The same problems come up again and again in US small-business books. Here's how we handle each one.

Everything we do, itemized US tax forms, a calculator and coffee on a desk
No.What owners deal withWhat you get
01 Sales tax in other states. Selling online can create sales tax obligations in states where you have no office, once your sales there pass that state's economic nexus threshold. Sales tracked by state from Shopify, Amazon and Stripe, so you and your sales tax provider can see where you stand.
02 Contractors and 1099s. Every January, contractors who need a Form 1099-NEC have to get one, and missing W-9s turn it into a scramble. W-9s collected as you go, and a 1099 list ready for filing.
03 Cash basis vs. accrual. Investors and lenders expect accrual-basis numbers. Many small businesses only keep cash books. Accrual books with deferred revenue, prepaids and accruals, while you can still see cash.
04 Payroll that doesn't match the books. Payroll runs in Gusto, but the journal entries in QuickBooks are wrong or missing. Payroll reconciled to the books every month.
05 Tax season. Your CPA needs clean books to prepare your Schedule C, 1065, 1120-S or 1120. A year-end package: trial balance, reconciliations, fixed assets and 1099 summary.

Straight answers

Do you file my taxes?
We don’t prepare or file income tax returns, because we aren’t a US CPA firm. We keep your books, e-file your 1099s through QuickBooks if you want us to, and hand your CPA a clean year-end file. If you don’t have a CPA, we can introduce you to one.
Can you work with my current CPA?
Yes. Most of our clients already have one. We agree on what they need from us and when, and we deliver it.
Do you work with LLCs and S corps?
Yes. We keep books for LLCs, S corporations, C corporations and sole proprietors. Your CPA advises on which structure suits you.
How do we talk, given the time difference?
By email for day-to-day questions, and video calls scheduled in your time zone. We aim to reply within one business day.
